“The People” new single from Common
Guess who’s back? Common resurrects a new single “The People” off his upcoming album Finding Forever. Listen to the track produced by Kanye West exclusively oh his official Myspace before it goes to radio! THe verses are tight as usual but pay close attention to how KanYe chops up the beats and lays down the track- it’s almost reminiscent of the Late great J.Dilla- what a tribute!

DJ Babu to release his 1st Instrumental LP
World Famous Beat Junkies Crew / Dilated People’s DJ Babu is set to drop his 1st solo instrumental album from Nature Sounds Recordings. The album features all new instrumentals from The Dilated Junkie and boasts a hefty 32 Tracks of “Head nodding Hip-Hop”

Jaylib “Champion Sound” Deluxe 2/CD re-issue coming in May
From what I’ve been told, Jaylib (The Madlib and J. Dilla) crossover album “Champion Sound” will be reissued this May 8th 2007 with… 43 tracks in all (9 remixes, together with b-sides and the instrumentals) collected in a deluxe 2-CD set, selling for the same price as the original Champion Sound CD! 43 Tracks for $15 BUCKS! (or less in some places!)

“The Lifesavas” return with a new album
From where?!? Portland, (a.k.a. Razorblade City) The Crew… Lifesavas - emcee/ producer Jumbo the Garbageman and emcee Vursatyl return with their sophomore album “Gutterfly.” The album drops this Tuesday (April 24th) Featuring OhNo, Camp Lo, Dead Prez, SMif N’ Wessun, George Clinton (Yes!), Jake one and much, much more. I snipped out a couple tracks and it’s that same great taste Quanumm and The Lifesavas have been known to drop. The album dropped early on iTUNES, be sure to check that out. Don’t sleep on Gutterfly!
