“All Pro Football 2K8″ (Xbox 360/PS3) Video Game/Soundtrack

Yeah, that’s right! We review Video Games too! (LOL!) What do you do when EA Sports purchases the liscensing agreements to the NFL and hardcore NFL 2k Football Fans are left in the dust? Simple… What if you got some of the greatest players in football, including Hall of Famers and All Stars, all on the same field in their primes. Yeah I know, this isn’t the NFL… 2K sports have developed “All Pro Football 2k8″ a dope game featuring full league and tournament schedules, plus league customization options, New presentation style combines TV broadcasts with on field commentary - bringing you closer to the action… it’s that same great 2K action you got on your Xbox… but this time you’re playing a 2k Football game on a next-gen system!
Did I mention DJ Z-Trip provides the soundtrack to this righteous Footbal game? Yep, They’re Mash-Up tracks featuring Rakim, Dead Prez, Charli 2na, Slug, Aceyalone, Casual, Pep Love, Lateef, Gift of Gab, Keno 1, DJ Faust, Chevelle, Clutch, Dub Trio, Natural Self, Backyard Bangers, Deftones and Rush!

Yo… all I gotta say is 2k Football is back… regardless if it isn’t an official NFL Product.
(Shoot, The NFL is missing out!)

This is All Pro Football 2K8. Not Madden 2008… Yes there’s a big difference and I’ve heard it from every Madden Fan out there. But show 2K Sports some love for making this possible. If you go on-line you’ll see a ton of bad reviews seen through the eyes of a Madden fan… but to any true 2K Sport Football gamer… it’s a return to the 2k Football style of play. Actually, it’s fallback is within the control system…the pass plays, run plays, and defensive plays are all EXACTLY the same from 2K5. Let me get into the Legend system of play… There are over 240 NFL legends making their return to the field, including Hall of Famers such as Jerry Rice, John Elway, Reggie White, Johnny Unitas, Dick Butkus, Joe Montana, Mike Singletary and Walter Payton.
The Bottom line is… the game is fun. Especially to 2K Sports fanatics. Unfortunately, one can’t help compare the game to Maddens dominance and their licensing agreements with the NFL. The Graphics, the Game play are there in All-Pro Football, but until the day arrives and 2K gets its hands back onto the NFL… the game lacks in comparison to what EA and Madden Have… The rights to the NFL! All-Pro is a shy comparison to great Football Movie Moments like “The Replacements” or “The Longest Yard” and to Football Organizations like the Arena Football League and the now defunct XFL. Just leave All pro with what it is… a great game with that 2k feeling in a next-gen system. It isn’t the “Halo” of Football games. It’s a smart way to get the 2K football franchise back to it’s fanbase.

The Graphics are simply… spectacular!
All Pro Football 2K8 - Feat. Rakim & Jerry Rice
Oh Snaps! Did I mention the accompanied soundtrack is provided by DJ Z-Trip? I sure did! (look up top!) Z-Trip provides original tracks, remixes, and mash-ups for the in-game soundtrack. Some of the produced mash-ups feature a dope track by Dead Prez who drop their distinctive verbal skills over a Deftone’s track, while Rakim gets mashed-up with Chevelle. Artists such as Slug, Aceyalone, and Casual, will be on deck contributing verses to the soundtrack. 2K ALWAYS comes correct with it’s music selection!
