Big ups to Traffic Entertainment and Cold Chillin’ for making this reissued extended play CD possible! To any fan out there of the old school,- Down By Law is the debut album from MC Shan and it’s a must have for any Hip-Hop enthusiast.

Released in 1987 during the historic Bridge Wars, a feud between Queensbridge’s MC Shan and South Bronx’s KRS-One errupted with the most prodigious of these disses were MC Shan’s “Kill That Noise” and “The Bridge.” Shan was also a key player in the the Bridge Wars between the Juice Crew and Boogie Down Productions. MC Shan and Marl released a song called “The Bridge” as a B-side to “Beat Biter,” itself an answer record directed at L.L. Cool J, which started the feud. KRS-One came back with “South Bronx,” later to be responded by the Juice Crew’s “Kill That Noise,. BDP then released “The Bridge is Over.”

In celebration to this Grand rerelease… and also available for the first time as a double disc set, You get the original album, and a butt load of rare and hard to find bonus material, from artwork to audio tracks. With all the songs being digitally re-mastered, and all the additional photography being supplied by the man who took the photos, this project has been handed with the utmost care and creativity.
