Providence, Rhode Island represent… Sage Francis is back.

“Sage Francis’s style blends a varying tone and delivery with subject matter that focuses on intricate sequences of widely varying imagery, metaphors, the occasional pun, absurdism, and pop culture references, while including the occasional touchstones of traditional hip hop storytelling and self-promotion.”
Yep, Rhode Island has Emcee’s… and a damn good one for that matter!
I think the facts listed above best fit’s who Sage Francis is… I was simply going to call him a Microphone God. Sage’s new album for Epitaph is entitled Human the Death Dance, and is set for a release May 8th release. Producers include Odd Nosdam, Mr. Cooper, Buck 65, Mark Isham, Big Cats!, Alias, Sixtoo, Ant, Kurt SP, Miles Bonny, Reanimator and Tom Inhaler. Sage’s albums are a little bit of everything on the thought process side of things. He’s a thinking man’s MC. You get more out of his albums than “Yo! Yo! Yoy! Homie Yo! Lets get blazed!” With that being said, Human the death Dance may be his most personal album to date. I like to think of Sage’s work as personal diaries of rightings and beliefs. If you haven’t seen him perform live you are in for a treat. The guy can move the crowd with his vocals, the mic and his Sony Disc player as his DJ. May 8th, The Human Death Dance begins!
Sage also goes on Tour in May! Check out the Line up!
